Final Project Idea

As we come closer to beginning our film opening, we have decided on what route we would like to explore for our project. Our group has officially decided to film a horror opening scene.

The idea that we have come up with is along the stalker lines. We want to start our film with someone coming from work, driving while being followed by an anonymous person. This person will follow them all the way to the house in which the main character who is being followed has not realized the car following closely behind. We will use the perspectives of both the person being followed and the stalker to add suspense. The main character will arrive home, try to open their door and will realize they do not have the keys so they will proceed to the garage to enter the house. This will give the side character time to enter the house by sliding under the garage door after the MC enters in the house. The SC will hide throughout the house proceeding to following the MC without being noticed. This time the perspective will switch to the SC as they try to hide from the MC and is shown with a knife. This will make it seem like they want to harm the MC but in reality, the shot will end with the MC being surprised for their birthday. 

There are a few things we still need to figure out along the process of filming and the making of this idea as it continues to evolve into what will be our film opening. We have to figure out who will take the MC and SC roles along with filming and editing. I am very excited to continue working with editing programs  I have tried the previous years and work with editing because I am interested in adobe programs and working with lightning and editing aspects of the film. Our group is also excited to work around the plot twists of the birthday party surprise while we make it seem like the stalker is wanting to harm the MC. Along with trying to shoot scenes in two different perspectives to convey different feelings from the two characters. 

We will have to challenge ourselves with filming in different perspectives to make sure the scenes connect well and seem in one go. We also have to figure out props, how we will edit and play with lighting and times to film. Things such as whose house we can film out, cars that can be used, phones or cameras to be used and other things that may come up. Overall we are excited to get a start on this project.
