Film length
In this blogpost, the tough decisions our group was faced with to ensure our time restraint was met on certain criteria of our film will be shared.
Our group was successful in editing our film to just under two minutes, fulfilling our time restraint. After our first day of shooting and reviewing our scenes we knew our time was limited and had to more critically thought about. Editing and fitting our scenes under two minute was probably the most difficult task we were presented with but nonetheless we made it work as a group. Both Daniels were tasked with cutting out the unimportant things in our scenes, this greatly helped me to edit the clips together and add transitions in. Speeding up certain scenes, cutting parts out that were not needed, and adding transitions helped bring our time down enough to add in our title sequence and end credits.
We had to cut back on a lot of original ideas as they would make our film far past the time requirement, some scenes having to be fully removed to fit the time. Although we struggled, working all together in a group in person and over calls editing aided this process and made us turn our clips into our film opening.
