For our final project, we have decided to make an opening scene in the genre of horror. We will be creating around a 2-minute opening in which we can try out different techniques, shots, angles, and many other things we have learned on the way to creating this opening. With the genre of horror, our group has a lot of freedom on how we would like to scare the watchers. Scaring the watchers, or more so having them on the edge is our main goal of this opening scene.
We collectively all believe that shooting a horror film will be the best for our first film. As we would not have to dive right into hard effects or CGI that actions movies or sci-fi would. Horror would allow us to test out multiple angles and lighting such as low and high angles to portray the protagonist and antagonist along with adding sounds to play with suspense leading to our final scene. We all hope this film allows us to explore the most and play around with the things we have learned throughout our class and possibly continue on with filming projects outside of school.
