Preparations to start filming

We have finally arrived to our filming start. Now as we approach the start of to film we have seen some challenges come up along with easy parts as we explore our roles in the film.

Something that we will need to experiment more with and pay close attention to is the amount of footage we take to reach the minimum and maximum requirements of the time. There are many things we will continually learn in our filming process, a few things that I know will be challenging are editing together footage and audio clips, balancing out all our schedules to film and of course the filming of the scenes itself. As for the schedules, we will have a few days off of school due to holidays that should allot us the whole day to work on the films together. I'm sure all three of us will be able to work together on any of our struggles.

On the brighter side, there are easier points to the film, such as the acting part. This being our first film we made sure none of the roles would be too difficult or complex to play so we can make the best of the simple roles and have our own twists on them. With editing, while I'm sure we will stumble on a few things all three of us have had some experience in working with programs to edit films and video clips. Another thing we are all excited to work with is the camera angles and shots along with lighting that we can use and even play around with in getting the shots we want.

Our actors will be our group, with us deciding the following:

Daniel Yanes- main character

Daniel Lapidot- side character (stalker)

Sofia Kawalek (me) - filmer

Location- DL's house and community street

It works out well that we only need two actors for the film so one person in our group can be assigned to filming. The main character will have simple work attire on, nothing too personable to emphasize the plainness of the MC, similarly the SC will be wearing all black, to conceal their identity and stay hidden. This will also help the SC fit the stereotypes of stalkers and someone who may be dangerous to draw suspense to them. Our locations will mostly be limited to side streets and one of our houses, we hope to start with an empty office building for the workplace of the MC and follow from there on out.

We want to leave space for our filming, editing, and any touchups or mishaps that may occur. Our plan is to start filming as soon as we are all available, possibly on the weekdays because we will be filming at night around the town and side streets. Our final script has not been fully developed, but our storyboard has mostly been written down. For equipment, we will likely use our phones and a small film camera I can use over a few days that should produce the shots we want to.
