Inspiration for our film

 This post will go through how we came to decide on the idea of our project and what we drew inspiration from.

Daniel Yanes originally introduced the idea of making a horror/mystery film which Lapidot and I agreed on. Choosing a horror/mystery movie would allow us to have a lot of freedom in our ideas and filming decisions along with not needing as much dialogue then genres such as a drama or rom-com film. We were quickly on board with this genre and started sharing ideas around. 

The idea of horror turned failed surprise came and each of us agreed that it would be a fun and different take on a film opening. Yanes drew inspiration from "Scary Movie" a well-known horror/comedy film, being shown as a serious event that changes into a comedy, this not only helps the movie flow but also engages the viewers throughout the whole time. This plot twist was something we figured would be fun to play with and keep the rise in tension to then be an unexpected end.
