Sound post

Now in this post, I will be discussing the sound for our film. Going through the decisions we made in adding sounds with a foley stage or layering the audio into our scenes.

For the majority of our film, we used the ambience in the environment we filmed. Certain clips include the whistling of the wind, the rustling of leaves, footsteps, and light switches and mostly just separated the audio from the clips we filmed and raised the volume to draw more attention to those sounds. Using the ambience of the environment helped us not overshadow the acting we wanted to draw on for the audience to pay attention to.

Apart from mostly using the ambience, in certain parts of the film, we added a low strumming of the cello that Lapidot was able to sample for us. This low strumming helped us add more tension to certain scenes to have the audience grow curious and anxious as to what will happen next. We really only used these two or three, especially on parts we felt were too quiet and could use a build-up. I wish we could've used a foley for more clips but overall our group was satisfied with the way our audio turned out in the end.
